Establish math basics:

- the very basics
- addition
- subtraction
- multiplication
- division
- introduce variations in symbols and notations used to express multiplication and division

- expressions with multiplication and addition
- notations
- operator precidence

- fractions (and relationship to division)
- squares, cubes (as relates to multiplication)
- negative numbers
- equality and balancing around the equals sign. First without variables ie: 5+3=2x4 is the same as (5+3)+2=(2x4)+2
- variables, solve for single variables: 5+
*x*=8;*x*=3 - multiple variables, sovle for single: 5+
*x*=*y*;*x*=*y*-5 - square roots
- multiplying out expressions like (
*x*+2)^{2} - completing the square:
*x*^{2}+ 6*x*=0;*x*^{2}+ 6*x*+9 =0+9 - quadratic equations
- Derive the Quadratic Equation by solving
*ax*^{2}+*bx*+*c*= 0
