Chronicide part II, or, Fifteen Days of Mandala Painter

Three cheers to Kerry for giving me a new and inventive way to kill time when I'm supposed to be studying! Proost!

The jist of the program is that it will draw whatever you draw in radial symmetry. It has most of the basic functions of a paint program, although it sorely lacks a couple of functions which became very conspicuous in their absence. And it isn't even open source, so I can't fantasize about fixing it! But it's a good little program nonetheless.

This is the first mandala I made in the program. Well, technically it's the first mandala I made that I bothered saving. The pinkish bits are from a screen capture from a screen saver called Electric Sheep, another find of Kerry's.

The green bits are images that come with the program, called Symbols. On the outer edge I've applied the "ripple" effect to the symbol.

Symbols have the advantage of having transparent backgrounds. For some reason, the program will ONLY accept rectangular objects from the clipboard. If you try to paste an object that is not rectangular, the program will kindly fill in a white background for you.

Here's a collection of the images I've made in the program, somewhat categorized for convenience. Most of them are 1000x1000 pixels in Real Life(TM), but I have them scaled to half-size here. Speaking of (TM), it is probably a good time to mention my copyright policy. It is simply this: if you want to use one of my images (or writing or whatever) for your own amusement and edification you may do so, and if it's even remotely convenient please give me credit for my part of the work. If you want to use it for something with which you hope/plan to make money, even a little bit of money, you need to ask me first. If you happen to accidently make any significant amount of money with something which you thought was just amusement and edification, be nice and share it with me.
