8-9-05: Aurora in her spot.
The picture is
slightly out of focus... but I think that's okay in this case.
8-9-05: This year when my parents came to visit, we finally made it to the San Juans! This is the lighthouse on the southern tip of San Juan Island.
8-9-05: This little guy was just sitting by the side of the road on our drive back. I think he's just too young to realize that he should be afraid of cars. The photo is slightly blurry, but is probably about as good of a picture of a fox as I'll likely get.
8-9-05: Same mountain, different day. This is still either Glacier or Baker, and I'm still not sure which.
8-10-05: We had a little time to kill in Anacortes before going on a fishing trip, so we decided to visit Causland Memorial Park. It includes a bunch of structures made from local rock and shells, such as this shelter.
8-10-05: It is a memorial to war veterans from Anacortes. I like this picture of my dad, a Vietnam veteran, next to the memorial.
8-10-05: The park includes a tree that I know only as a
monkeytail
tree. Its an odd type of evergreen, with
big scale-like leaves.
