For those of you who want to get hooked like crack join in the fun, I've written How To Make a Sheep and posted it on the Electric Sheep wiki.

I generally name my sheep. There's no real reason for it, other than I enjoy it, and it's much easier to remember which sheep is Rose than which one is old1986xApo93175-1-12-3, which is something of the naming system I use internally, to keep track of how a particular sheep was made.

Iron Sulfur
The competing hypothesis to the RNA world, the idea that the basic chemical pathways began in the unstable environment near the geothermal events, and life built up around them. The last edge goes to its lamb, 10884.

Fetch
Fetch is the name for the distance straight-line winds blow across open ocean. Long fetch means good surfing waves. It's also another word for a ghost.

Mark Twain
In 1996, the Rainbow Gathering was held in the Mark Twain National Forest. The last edge is a VERY nice transition between this sheep and its lamb, 10561.

Sulfur before sleep
The yellow edges stack up like sulfur shelf mushrooms, on a background the color of the forest just before dark. Sometimes you'll get one last good find before turning home. The last edge goes to the previous sheep, 10306. The second-to-last edge goes to lamb 10126.

Starry Nights
This one reminded me of one of Van Gogh's swirled landscapes. The colors are a bit brighter than the actual painting, but the mix is similar.
